INVERTEBRATES
As we already discussed breifly about the invertebrates in our last post go through it to get an Over View of the invertebrates & animalia kingdom. Clickhere to see the post. Now jump into the current topic.
Invertebrates are not having backbone or vetebral column in the science terminolgy. Most of the organisms covering the animal kingdom is the invertebrates. These are soft-bodied creatures and do not posses any internal skeletons, But however some of these posses external protection basically known as exoskeletons to protect from their surroundings conditions or you may call it as environment. Some of the examples of the invertebrates are snails, butterflies, spiders, sponges, sea-stars etc.

- phylum Nematoda
- phylum Arthropoda
- phylum Annelida

Snails come under the phylum Mollusca. A lot of examples are there we will see them in the coming up posts. Invertebrates are found everywhere i.e; both on the land and water. aquatic invertebrates like crabs, sponges etc . and the terrestial invertebrates are insects like spider, butterfly, snails and more.
Do you know...? Invertebrates are also used in making medicines for many years. A total of 20 families and 38 species of invertebrates distributed among 6 taxonomic categories, were found to be used to treat for 50 different ailments.
